It conquered us since the first image, and the most we saw about it, the most we were fascinated with the attention to the details. Ok, let’s stop the conversation and really get to what matters!
Being in the middle of some old historical building from the 18-19th centuries, it was an incentive to make it as midcentury as they could, and make the apartment match the surroundings, but still make a difference by adding a modern touch to it.
The project is basically a redecoration of a private apartment located in Kharkiv, Ukraine, with 2 floors but just 120 m2 or 1291.67 square foot. The architects tried to make the best out of the small space, and they really managed to make it as comfortable and pretty as possible. It was divided in two sections: the 1st floor is the public area for meeting with friends and family and the 2nd floor is the private zone with a bedroom, a master bathroom and a library. On both floors, you can observe that every space was thought carefully, so that their features wouldn’t go to waste, for example, the lights and the views are all strategically placed with the divisions.
The kitchen usually it’s the trickiest area, because of all the electronics you have to fit there. To start, they designed this area together with the hall. Being this a small place, they incorporated the refrigerator and the oven into a common unit with a staircase and guest WC, which was a great idea, because it helped saving a lot of space.
In our opinion this was one of the best apartment projects so far, because it was thought really carefully and with maximum attention to details.
