Designed almost four years ago by Moscow-based architecture firm INT2 architecture this 105m2 apartment is now trendier than ever! While the designers’ main goal with this project was to create the biggest open living space with functional areas achievable, this Scandinavian interior also stands out for many other reasons…

While this is clearly a big open living space, the family room area stands out for the sherbet colors the designers decided to use. This particular interior was designed and conceptualized to honor Scandinavian interior traditions, as well as modern design. In fact, throughout the house, you will see multiple mid-century modern elements inspired by the 1950s and 1960s that reinterpret the decades and bring them into the 21st century.

The color palette used for this project is essentially neutral, with a few nuances and color splashes around the open space. You have your typical Scandinavian white walls and wooden flooring in the background, while pastel colors such as coral, soft blue, and pearl gray create a feeling of warmth and coziness.

The kitchen area is a non-conventional space and boasts some storage space that at first glance might not seem very standardized, but it is actually very comfortable in terms of use. There are a kitchen island and a couple of bar stools that create a cozy breakfast area.

The dining area is an all-black and light-wooded space, which adds to the feeling of modernity of the whole Scandinavian interior. If you look closely, you’ll see a few shelves at the end, which are an indicator that one of the most important things for the INT2 architecture team was attention to detail and, as in any good Scandinavian home, simplicity.

There are a small office space and a classic piano separated from the open space living room by double-sided shelving that add a luxurious twist to the Scandinavian interior design. Personalized artwork can also be seen in the office room, emphasizing the ideas that this really is a bespoke and curated home interior.
