Because all the great things tend to happen in all the great cities around the world, Clerkenwell Design Week is about to begin!
London is getting ready to be dressed in pink once again for Clerkenwell Design Week. The up and coming district will be celebrating great interior design between May 22 and 24, with hundreds of sites open to receive all the Clerkenwell visitors and make them fall in love with design all over again. We have a few tips on how to enjoy Clerkenwell Design Week at its fullest, so let’s get started!

Know your way around Clerkenwell
The first tip might be obvious, but trust us when we say this is really important, especially if this is your first time attending Clerkenwell Design Week. Before you arrive, make sure you have a map and try to figure out which way you want to start exploring first. What this will do is that it will create somewhat of a path you can take to make sure you cover all the best parts of this big interior design show.
Visit the exhibitions in the morning
If you want to see a particular exhibition, or a brand you have been trying to get to know for a while, our advice is to look for them in the morning. The streets will be less crowded and easier to roam, and the exhibitions won’t be filled with people. This will allow you time to talk to the designers and get to know more about their work.
Hit the showrooms after lunch
You will find that many showrooms have after lunch parties. Why is this the right time? First of all, your chances of finding someone you might have been trying to reach are greater if you too are attending the parties, which are always packed. This a great opportunity to make connections and network with people from your field! And, of course, parties also means there will be more entertainment and, who knows, even a glass of champagne to cool down a hot day.
Map out your time, so you can attend Conversations at Clerkenwell
Another important thing, right next to knowing where you are, is to know when you are. If you want to make the most of Clerkenwell, you should map out your time so that you can see and experience a little bit of everything. Conversations at Clerkenwell is a no-miss part of this Design Week. In partnership with Mapei UK, Clerkenwell has created an area where new products are introduced, at the same time you get to hear industry issues being discussed. It is also a great place to network with colleagues from your field, so be sure to make time to attend!

Go with an open mind and ready to learn
Our last advice is to go to Clerkenwell Design Week with an open mind and ready to learn a lot! Whether you are attending the conversations, or just visiting the exhibitions in showrooms, you will meet a lot of people and talk to a lot of interesting designers, architects, and many more. You will also come home with new perspectives on what the interior design London scene is all about these days. All in all, there are nothing but good reasons to attend Clerkenwell Design Week!
