Opened in Manila, Philippines, Sigvard Selections by Adefuin Design Studio is a furniture store created by the interior designer Jigs Adefuin and his partner, business owner Oliver Ortiz.
Sigvard Selections furniture store came about in the 3rd quarter of 2014 as a source to add options for his clients. As it’s a must see furniture store in Philippines, always seeking to impress by the style, quality and exclusivity of its pieces, Essential Home seized the opportunity to sit down and have a quick chat with the two amazing visionaries behind the creation of Sigvard Selections.

Since very young, Jigs has been fashioning rooms in his mind. With an inherent talent for design and interior decoration, Jigs drew his own path to as one of the Philippines’ premier design leaders.
“I breathe and live Interior Design. It gives me great satisfaction seeing my visions turn into reality. My objective is to create functional and excellent designs synonymous to the individuality of my clients.”
In a revealing moment amidst a relaxing conversation, Jigs Adefuin told us why this project was created. Started as a source to add options for his clients, Jigs Adefuin realised that
“My taste is as distinct as my style as an interior designer.”
Although there may be a lot of other furniture stores in Metro Manila, there are only a few that really fancies him.
The original concept of the store was that all furniture pieces would be locally made and all the decors and accessories would be sourced from all of their travels abroad. With the couple’s frequent travels abroad and attending international design convention – Jig’s thirst for impeccable designs combined with Oliver’s business savvy – they continuously and passionately discover new business opportunities.
“Believing in continuous discoveries, the concept of the store is also continuously evolving.”
The styles of the products we can find in the store are mostly inspired by the classic designs but with contemporary flair.
“The overall look has to be timeless. It should appeal to the young ones as well as the more mature adults.”
