Darlinghurst Apartment: the perfect balance between elegant black and pop art inspired colors.
Pop art mixed with monochromes, geometry and a touch of Andy Warhol could only result in an amazing eclectic interior to die for. This apartment has it all and it’s bound to be engraved in your mind with its charming elegance.
Greg Natale brings us an apartment to die for: an eclectic interior design with pop art references, elegant black tones, a pop of color here and there, and a ever so present personality to the entire house that we wish to replicate in our own.
From the bright pink armchair to the patterned rug and amazing center table, you get all kinds of styles in a single place. It’s easy to spot the multiple inspirations that lead to this design and we are on board with all of them, given the ending result. A living room as bright and welcoming as this using as its main palette monochromatic colors is hard to get but stunning when it’s done correctly.
Mid-century modern, contemporary, pop art, art deco: you get them all in a single space, harmonized in the best way to get a balanced and well-thought of design that will make you want to sit down and relax with a good drink after a long day of work.
It’s the little details that truly make this living room as stunning as it is. The big wall mirror makes the living room seem to have more space than it truly has, elongating it and bringing it to life, proving that you don’t need a big space to let your home decor shine.
Geometry comes together in the accessories such as the patterned pillows or the ashtray on the coffee table, as well as the patterned rug that covers the living room’s floor. The pop art references seen in the bright colored armchair and art, are further enhanced by the literature that serves as an accessory itself.
Andy Warhol is represented on a book on the coffee table, surrounded by bright and geometric accessories that enhance the pop art influence in this home decor. Being the godfather of pop art, Andy Warhol could not be left without a representation in this decor.
The details on the furniture are what really catches our attention and makes the entire decor that much more unique and special. The table lamp with black and golden tones, contemporary design that matches perfectly with the side table, truly catches the eye of anyone who walks into this room.
The dining area is just as stunning although small, with the geometric inspiration clear with the design of the table and patterns on the seats of the dining chairs. It can’t get any more contemporary than this and we love it!
The bedroom is just as dreamy as the rest of the house. Taking the best out of a small apartment space, the art deco inspiration is present on the pillows and decor, as well as the geometric patterned on the rug creates that contemporary design that we can’t help but adore in this apartment. Yet again, just as wisely, the use of mirrors to enhance and elongate the space is a technique used in this room.
