Vienna, July 7 – September 18: Frauenbilder exhibition

The Museum of Leopold suggests on the material of Austrian painting to study how the ideas of femininity changed in the art of the XIX-XX centuries. Schiele and expressionists – but the exhibition is open sweet flower girls, happy mothers and touching landscapes (in the photo – “Mother and Children Return Home” by Ferdinand Waldmuller, 1863).

Bregenz, July 19 – August 20: the opera “Carmen”

The Bregenz Opera Festival shows the opera “Carmen” staged by Kasper Holten. For the performance above the Lake Constance, a high-rise stage with a multi-storey house was built, which was created by the scenographer Es Devlin, who designed the shows of Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Pet Shop Boys.
