With the International Women’s Day coming, it is time we start celebrating design in a more feminine way.
Today, we are focusing on what are considered to be 10 of the most famous interior designers of all times. Apart from their excellent taste and jaw-dropping projects, they have one other thing in common… they are all great, and powerful women that are thriving in the interior design and decoration worlds. Let’s take a look at their names, and fall in love with their home and hotel interiors…
Probably one of the most coveted and famous interior designs of our times, Kelly Wearstler designs the interiors everyone wants. Her eclectic signature look is filled with bright colors, rich textures and lines we can’t stay indifferent to.

Sussanne Khan is one of the most renowned interior designers in India. Definitely a famous women in history, at least the interior design history, Khan has kept on wowing us with her amazing interior design projects and her own personal project, design firm The Charcoal Project.

Born in Spain, Patricia Urquiola is nowadays based in Milan. One of the most acclaimed interior designers of modern days, Urquiola is mostly known for her furniture designs and commercial interior design projects, which combine poetic and playful designs with pragmatic and practical elements.

Jennifer Post’s designs are know for being an honest representation of white, neutral, and classic interiors. The American designer has worked with Simon Cowell and Jennifer Lopez in the past, creating gorgeous interior solutions for them. As for more recent projects, Jennifer Post has been breaking her bounderies a little bit, presenting more colorful designs.

Emily Summers is known for her contemporary interiors, with a warm twist of soulfulness, as Architectural Digest so nicely put it. The interior designer always goes for rich upholstered furniture with a modern touch to it. In an Emily Summers interior there is always attention to detail and a few tactile finishes that complete the room.

If you know interior designer Victoria Hagan, you know that she is all about elegant interiors. Neutral backgrounds are paired with strong patterns and textures that add depth to her designs, creating enviable rooms we all wish we could own. Hagan is also amazing when it comes to play with proportions, always paying attention to how they will play in the final look of the room.

The Iranian-born designer is now based in Paris, but keeps traveling all the time. Trained as an architect, Mahdavi likes to take multiple materials and textures and play with them, combining them into playful interiors. She is known for her coloful and intense interior design projects, being Sketch one of our favorite projects from the world acclaimed designer.

Kelly Hoppen is probably one of the most famous interior designers based in the UK. Her interiors are elegant and sleek, with a touch of luxury and comfort. Hoppen has worked in major projects all over the world, one of them being Shanghai’s One Shenzhen Bay luxury apartments.

The Welsh, but London-based designer is most notably known for her colorful designs and unique furniture.
