One of the most important days for the luxury design industry is coming, and it’s about time you know all about it.
The first Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit will be arriving in Porto on the 20th of June, going on for two full days, just in time for you to enjoy Summer in the city. Today we will be letting you know what this is all about, why you can’t miss it, and how you can grab your ticket the fastest way possible!

An event sponsored by Covet Group and luxury inclined editorial magazine, CovetED, Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit will be happening in Porto, Portugal, from the 20th until the 21st of June. This means this big event is happening next week!
This luxury design and craftsmanship celebration will be hosted in the outskirts of Porto, in Gondomar, in Pavilhão Multiusos. A fun fact to know about the building where the Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit will happen is that this was designed by what is one of the most famous and world renowned Portuguese architects of modern days, Álvaro Siza Vieira.
If this made you curious, and you want to know more about Porto’s architectural heritage, make sure to arrive a few days earlier or stay a few days longer, and roam around the city to get to know some of its most iconic places: Avenida dos Aliados, Casa da Música, São Bento Railway Station.
If you’re up to it, get lost in some of Porto’s alleys and be amazed by its architectural features that go back hundreds of years!
Going onto more technical issues, expect to see some outstanding speakers waiting to talk at the Luxury Summit 2018. Here are just a few you won’t want to miss:
Michaelangelo Foundation
The Italian Michelangelo Foundation for the arts and craftsmanship is one of the speakers attendees will have the opportunity to hear next week. Representing the Foundation will be Nicole Segundo, who is acting as an extended arm of the Michelangelo Foundation to pursue their mission in Portugal.
Luís Onofre
One of Portugal’s most acclaimed shoe designers, Luís Onofre has its own brand since 1999. Before, the designer had worked with international brands such as Cacharel, Kenzo, and Daniel Hecter. Nowadays, Luís Onofre is a regular presence at Portugal Fashion and one of the most recognized names in his industry.
Vista Alegre
From Vista Alegre, creators of some of the finest porcelains you could have in your home, the Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit will have the honor to present Nuno Barra, Marketing Director of the renowned brand.
Storytailors
From the fashion industry, the luxury design world brings us Storytailors. The fashion brand from Lisbon will be at the first edition of Luxury Design and Craftsmanship Summit to talk about their creations and how do craftsmanship and ancient techniques match their unique style.
Aside from these amazing speakers, attendees will also have the opportunity to see master artisans work live, as there will be a live showcase happening during the two days of the Summit!
