See Inside One of the Last Zaha Hadid Buildings in Miami!

One of the last projects by the late architect Zaha Hadid, One Thousand Museum tower is nearly finished.

Today we are stepping inside one of the last Zaha Hadid buildings. One Thousand Museum tower was one of the last projects the renowned architect had the opportunity to personally work before her untimely death in 2016. Construction work is still going on, but the new Miami skyscraper is expected to be finished by late 2018. The building has, since February, reached its full height, topping out at 700 feet (210m) high. However, a model apartment has been fitted out by Brazilian furniture brand Artefacto last year, and today we are getting a sneak peek!

Artefacto was asked to take on the project and outfit the residential unit to give potential buyers an idea of what their finished home would look like. The apartment, located on the 17th floor of the skyscraper, is 4,635 square-foot (430 square-meters) and includes four bedrooms, 5,5 bathrooms, and floor-to-ceiling windows, which allow for a view of the concrete exoskeleton that supports the building. In fact, Artefacto used it as a starting point for their interiors.

To help potential buyers keep their focus on the amazing architectural details, Artefacto decided to use only neutral colors throughout the unit.

Being asked to outfit a unit in the final tower by the late Zaha Hadid is an incomparable feeling,” said Paulo Bacchi, CEO and president of Artefacto to Dezeen.

As of now, the apartment has already sold for $6,8 million!

Located on the waterfront in Downtown Miami close to several cultural buildings and points of interest, the 700 feet-high One Thousand Museum Tower will also have communal spaces designed by Zaha Hadid herself, as well as her team.

The ground-level lobby will be surrounded by restaurants and spaces for events at street level. There will also be a double-height Aquatic Center covered by a curving metal ceiling that will reflect the water, and a Sky Lounge at the top.

In between, you will be able to find residences that range from townhouse-style properties at levels 10 to 14 and half-floor homes from storeys 15 to 49. The next eight levels are reserved for full-level penthouses. Finally, a duplex penthouse will cover both 58 and 59 floors!

On the outside, 5,000 pieces of lightweight glass-fiber-reinforced concrete create a unique façade. For now, construction work is still being on the interiors, with everything pointing for Miami to officially have a brand new skyline by the end of 2018.

Even in its current state, the building already stands out as the most iconic architectural work on Miami’s skyline,” said developer Louis Birdman.
